Enabling BPDs, BPEL processes, and IBM Case Manager solutions for use in Process Portal spaces
The Human Task Management widgets can support business process definitions (BPDs) that were authored in IBM Process Designer, and BPEL processes and human tasks that were authored in IBM Integration Designer.
If the system is configured correctly, the widgets can also support IBM Case Manager solutions. To ensure that you can use the widgets in a Process Portal space to work with BPDs, BPEL processes, and case management solutions, certain requirements need to be met when you develop these artifacts.
- Enabling BPDs for use in Process Portal spaces
If you use the Human Task Management widgets to participate in processes, you cannot directly start a process and wait for the first human service as in Process Portal. To start business process definitions (BPDs) from a widget, you must model a human service that uses an undercover agent to start the process.
You can also use this human service to collect user input for the process.
- Enabling BPEL processes and human tasks for use in Process Portal spaces
When you model BPEL processes and human tasks in IBM Integration Designer, create an invocation task to start the process, include the business data that is required by the process and its tasks, and generate the forms for working with the tasks.- Enabling IBM Case Manager solutions for use in Process Portal spaces
Each IBM Case Manager solution has associated in-baskets that hold the work items that are assigned to a specific user or role. To enable work items to appear in a Process Portal space, you need to define certain custom attributes for the associated in-baskets.
