IBM Tivoli Monitoring, Version 6.3 Fix Pack 2
Set up Tivoli Data Warehouse components in a Microsoft Cluster Server
To have the Tivoli Data Warehouse and associated components (Warehouse Proxy Agent and Summarization and Pruning Agent) highly available in a Microsoft Server Cluster, verify that the following requirements are satisfied:
- The basic cluster resources are set.
- The DB software is installed and added to the resource group.
- The Warehouse Proxy Agent and Summarization and Pruning Agent is installed on clusternode1 and configured on clusternode2.
- The Warehouse Proxy Agent and Summarization and Pruning Agent services are added to the resource group.
The setup of the Warehouse Proxy Agent and Summarization and Pruning Agent as part of the cluster is optional. However, the procedures provided in this section are written for a cluster configuration where these agents are installed on the database server.
- Set up basic cluster resources
- Install and set up DB2 on a Microsoft Cluster Server
- Install and set up Tivoli Data Warehouse components in the cluster
- Test the Tivoli Data Warehouse components in the cluster
