Migrate My Lotus QuickPlaces
My Lotus QuickPlaces, which was provided in earlier versions of WebSphere Portal, is now available only by download from the WebSphere Portal Catalog. If you migrate from an earlier portal installation where My Lotus QuickPlaces was deployed, the earlier portlet is migrated to the new portal server. To upgrade the portlet, download the new portlet WAR file from the Catalog.
Steps for migrating My Lotus QuickPlaces are outlined below:
- Run the portal-pre-upgrade task to export configuration information from the earlier portal server.
- Run the portal-post-upgrade task to import the earlier server's configuration information to the new portal server.
- Verify that the My Lotus QuickPlaces portlet has been deployed on the new portal server.
- Download the new portlet WAR file from the WebSphere Portal Catalog.
- Upgrade My Lotus QuickPlaces with the new WAR file.
- Verify the portlet settings.
