Portlet Factory, Version 6.1.2

About working with a remote project

You can work on a remote project, (a project located on a remote machine) providing you follow some simple guidelines. Remote projects support team development, where several developers can share access to the same project.

A remote project stores the location of WebSphere Portlet Factory in the J2EERoot\.bowstreet configuration file. As a result, if two or more people are trying to work on the same remote project, they must all use the exact same directory location to the project. If you try to import an existing remote project into your workspace and your path is not identical to the path specified in the remote project's .bowstreet config file, you will see errors in WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer.
