Maintaining reference texts
Reference texts are used to specify the languages that display in a report. You can populate additional tables, add additional keys and resolve missing references.
To populate additional reference tables, modify the WCA_installdir\lib\reftable.properties file and add the appropriate insert statement.
To add additional keys for a reference table, modify the WCA_installdir\lib\nls\Reference_Table.properties and WCA_installdir\lib\nls\Reference_Table_locale.properties files for all needed languages.
- The strings enclosed within % in the file are used as keys and are defined in the in the WCA_installdir\lib\nls\Reference_Table.properties file. The only exceptions are schema and lang, which are populated automatically.
- Be sure to continue the uninterrupted numbering scheme for the table keys.
If a reference is missing, the WebSphere Commerce Analyzer extraction process indicates a failure during the Check_Reference step to add or remove checks. To include the missing data, you can use the Load Languages and Financial Periods window to load the modified references, or add them directly into the indicated table. Ensure the "Reference texts" check box is selected and "Load financial periods" check box is unselected. See "Loading Languages and Financial Periods" in the WebSphere Commerce Additional Software Guide.
- Make sure to add values for the specified keys used in the reftable.properties file. For example, if the keys ids, sdesc, and ldesc are used, add values for all three keys in the Reference_Table.properties file.
Note: If the WebSphere Commerce has been customized, review the default descriptions and add or modify the references as required before running the WebSphere Commerce Analyzer configuration.
