Changing loaded languages and financial periods

To select the start of the fiscal year and the number of periods to load into the PERIOD table for your online store, and load reference texts, use the Load Languages and Financial Periods page in the WebSphere Commerce Analyzer Parameter Manager.

The start of the financial year can only be set for a new configuration. It cannot be changed after periods have already been loaded. Only the Load languages can be updated later.

To load languages and financial periods:

  1. Open the WebSphere Commerce Analyzer Parameter Manager.
  2. Select Financial Periods. The Load Languages and Financial Periods page displays.
  3. From the Languages list, select a language for the reference and financial period texts.
  4. Select Reference texts to populate the reference tables and add descriptions for each period loaded into the period table.
  5. To load financial periods, select Load financial periods.

You must load financial period and language references the first time you configure WebSphere Commerce Analyzer. If you do not load financial periods and references, you will encounter problems when you try to run the extract transform and load (ETL) processes. After having loaded financial periods for the first time, the fiscal year start cannot be changed. You can load additional periods by selecting the number of years to load.

    1. From the Fiscal year starts on day list, select the day of the month when the fiscal year starts.
    2. From the Fiscal year starts in month list, select a number corresponding with the month in which the fiscal year starts.
For example, select 4 if the start of the fiscal year is in April.
    3. If your fiscal year starts in the previous year, select Fiscal Year Backshift.
    4. From the Load periods from year list, select a year from which to start loading financial periods.
    5. From the Number of years to load list, select the number of years to load. The maximum number of years you can load is nine.
Note: If load additional languages for period descriptions for pre-existing periods, choose the language and select 0 from the Number of years to load list.
    6. To load language reference texts, select Reference texts.
    7. Click Load. A message is displayed indicating whether the configuration step was successful.
