Marketing Manager information roadmap
The Marketing Manager communicates the market strategy and brand messages to the customers. This role monitors, analyzes, and understands customer behavior. In addition, the Marketing Manager creates or modifies customer segments for targeted selling, and creates and manages campaigns and promotions. The Marketing Manager handles e-mail activity capability and Web activities including suggestive selling and awareness advertising. Campaign event planning can be handled by a team comprising the Seller, Marketing Manager, and merchandising and product development. Either the Marketing Manager or merchandising and product development, project the sales for a promotional event and analyze its effectiveness.
The Marketing Manager uses the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator to perform the following tasks:
Marketing
- List, create, change, delete, and duplicate customer segments
- View a summary of each segment
- Manage campaigns:
- List, create, change, and delete campaigns
- List, create, change, and delete campaign activities
- View campaign activity statistics
- Manage e-mail templates
- Create, change, duplicate, and delete e-mail activity templates
- Manage e-Marketing Spots
- Create, change, and delete e-Marketing Spots
- Schedule Web activities on e-Marketing Spots
- Deliver promotions using e-mail
- Create, change, delete awareness ads
- View a summary of each awareness ad
Merchandise management
- List, create, and delete order promotions
- View catalog entries, catalog entry types (such as products, SKUs, bundles and kits), and merchandising associations (such as up-sells or cross-sells)
Operations
Store
- Request and view operational reports. These reports are generated in real time from your operational database.
- Request and view business intelligence reports. Many of the business reports are generated by WebSphere Commerce Analyzer.
