Change your Management Center logon password

In the case of an expired Management Center password, an administrator can use the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator to change the password for a business user. In the case of a forgotten password, a Site Administrator can use the Organization Administration Console to reset the password.

Before you beginTo change or reset a password, know the Management Center user name associated with the password. Additionally, to change a password, you must know the existing password before you can change it. Note that the Management Center user name and password are the ones used for all WebSphere Commerce tools.

About this taskTo change or reset a Management Center logon password:

  1. Change the Management Center password using the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

    When you change the Management Center password using WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, do not open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator from within the Management Center since that bypasses the logon page, which you use to change a logon password.

  2. Reset the Management Center password using the Organization Administration Console.
