Process: Reseller

Flow

Legend

A reseller uses the demand chain hub to create shopping carts; and to obtain real-time quotes, for specified quantities of an item, from specified distributors. The reseller uses the quote to determine from which distributors to source. The reseller can transfer these selections to the distributors' Web sites. Resellers can transfer either a well formed order to distributors site or the contents of the shopping cart. The order is completed on the distributor's site. The method used

depends on the business process. Resellers can view the status of their orders from the distributor's site.

Resellers may create one or more hosted stores on the site. The resellers customers may browse the catalog and order from these hosted stores. The catalog contains products from the manufacturer's catalog; and products, packages, and bundles created by the reseller. The reseller may specify the price for

products that are selected from the manufacturer's catalog. The price may be specified either as an adjustment to the manufacturer's list price, or as a fixed price. Resellers can marketing campaigns in their stores, the campaigns may up-sell or cross-sell their own products or the manufacturer's products.

Orders placed in a reseller hosted store may be fulfilled from the reseller's own inventory; or transferred to the demand chain hub. The reseller selects which distributors will fulfill transferred orders.
