Search fails if expression has Boolean or AnySimpleType property

Follow the steps listed here as workaround if your search fails when the search expression has a property of Boolean or AnySimpleType data type.

Problem

In a search expression, if you use properties of Boolean or AnySimpleType data type, which are stored in the database or property extension repository, the search fails, and the following error occurs: “A property Object type search is not supported.”

Cause

Boolean and AnySimpleType properties are stored as Object data types in the database and property extension repositories. This is a current limitation of virtual member manager.

Workaround

Store the properties of Boolean and AnySimpleType data type as String in the database or property extension repository.
