Configure virtual member manager
The virtual member manager configuration data are stored in XML and XSD files.
We can configure virtual member manager by using the console or the wsadmin commands. See your WebSphere administrative console documentation for information about configuration. We can also manually edit the wimconfig.xml file, although this is not the preferred method.
For additional information on configuring virtual member manager, read the developerWorks article, Expand your user registry options with a federated repository in WAS.
XPath can be used to easily refer to a property in a virtual member manager configuration file.
