Import and export keys
Import keys from another database
- Start the ikeyman user interface
- Click Key Database File from the main UI, then click Open.
- Enter your key database name in the Password prompt dialog box, or click key.kdb if we are using the default.
- Enter your correct password in the Password prompt dialog box, and click OK.
- Click Personal Certificates in the Key Database content frame, then click Export/Import on the label.
- In the Export/Import Key window click Import Key.
- Click the target database type.
- Enter the file name, or use the Browse option.
- Enter the current location.
- Click OK.
- Click OK in the Password prompt dialog box, to import the selected key to another key database.
Import keys to a PKCS12 file
- Enter ikeyman on a command line on the Linux or UNIX platforms, or start the Key Management utility in the IHS folder on the Windows operating system.
- Click Key Database File from the main UI, then click Open.
- Enter your key database name in the Open dialog box, or click key.kdb, if we use the default. Click OK.
- Enter your password in the Password prompt dialog box, and click OK.
- Click Personal Certificates in the Key Database content frame, then click Export/Import on the label.
- In the Export/Import Key window click Import Key.
- Click the PKCS12 database file type.
- Enter the file name, or use the Browse option.
- Enter the correct location.
- Click OK.
- Enter the correct password in the Password prompt dialog box, then click OK.
Export keys from another database
- Start the ikeyman user interface.
- Click key database file from the main user interface, then click Open.
- Enter your key database name in the Password Prompt dialog box, or click key.kdb if we are using the default.
- Enter your correct password in the Password Prompt dialog box, and click OK.
- Click Personal Certificates in the Key database content frame, then click Export/Import on the label.
- In the Export/Import Key window click Export Key.
- Click the target database type.
- Enter the file name, or use the Browse option.
- Enter the current location.
Export keys to a PKCS12 file
- Enter ikeyman on a command line on the Linux or UNIX platforms, or start the Key Management utility in the IHS folder on the Windows operating system.
- Click Key Database File from the main UI, then click Open.
- Enter your key database name in the Open dialog box, or click key.kdb if we use the default. Click OK.
- Enter your password in the Password Prompt dialog box, and click OK.
- Click Personal Certificates in the Key Database content frame, then click Export/Import on the label.
- In the Export/Import Key window click ExportKeyM.
- Click the PKCS12 database file type.
- Enter the file name, or use the Browse option.
- Enter the correct location.
- Click OK.
- Enter the correct password in the Password prompt dialog box, and enter the password again to confirm. Click OK to export the selected key to a PKCS12 file.
