Create a content spot

Ensure you have properly followed the steps in Create a simple content rule.

Use the same name as the original content spot's display name. Do not place the new content spots into a folder, unless the display name already includes slashes. Place them directly into the root Workspace.

1. Return to the root directory in Personalization Navigator.

2. Select New > Content Spot

3. Enter the following values and press Save.
   1. Select Pzn-offers from the Output Type drop-down list.

   2. Select /Pers Offers/Show Gold Offers from the Default Mapping drop-down list.

   

4. Test the content spot with the Personalization Editor portlet at the bottom of the page. Click the Preview tab.

   

5. If the following values appear on the Preview tab, the rule and content spot work:
   • Content Spot: Pzn_offersSpot

   • Campaign: Normal View

   • Rule: Pers Offers/Show Gold Offers

   • Rule Type: Select Content

   • Collection Name Pers Offers/Pzn offers

   • Personalization Resources:
     • 2

     • 7

     • 8

     • 10

     • 16

View the page with the Pers_Offers portlet.

We can now edit the jsp file to contain dynamic code.
