Customizing an authoring portlet
While many users will use the standard authoring portlet, you can
customize an authoring portlet specifically for content creation. You can
also configure Web content libraries to control user's access
to the different sections of the authoring portlet user interface.
- Selecting Web content libraries
You select which libraries will be available to users when using this authoring portlet in the Library Selection section.
- Defining preview options
The preview options determines how content can be previewed. Preview options are defined within the Previewing Options section.
- Defining user interface options
You use the User Interface Options section to define the user interface options of an authoring portlet.
- Defining rich text options
You can enter configure IBM® Lotus Web Content Management™ to use a third-party rich text editor in rich text fields.
- Additional authoring portlet configuration options
Additional authoring portlet configuration options can be specified using the portlet administration view.
- Using item type roles within a library
You define the role of a user or group for each item type used within a library. The roles determine the default library access of a user or group, as well as defining different access to individual tasks and views within the authoring portlet.
