Migrating IBM MQ Managed File Transfer

Use the following topics to guide you through various migration scenarios for IBM MQ Managed File Transfer.

• Considerations when migrating from FTE to MFT
  If we are planning to move from WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition Version 7.0.4 or earlier to Managed File Transfer in IBM WebSphere MQ Version 7.5 or later, review this information, which summarizes the changes between versions.
• Migrating a Managed File Transfer for z/OS installation to the next version of the product
  Follow these instructions to migrate an IBM MQ Managed File Transfer for z/OS installation to Version 9.2 of the product.
• Migrating an FTE Version 7.0 agent to MQ Version 7.5 or later
  Use the fteMigrateAgent command to migrate an WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition Version 7.0 agent to IBM WebSphere MQ Version 7.5, or later. If an agent is configured to run as a Windows service, we must complete the optional steps in this task.
• Migrating an FTE V7.0 database logger to MQ V7.5 or later
  Use the fteMigrateLogger command to migrate a stand-alone WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition Version 7.0 database logger to IBM WebSphere MQ Version 7.5, or later. If we have configured the database logger as a Windows service, we must complete extra migration steps.
• Migrating MFT: Increasing the log db page size for Db2 on UNIX, Linux, and Windows
  If your database is Db2 on UNIX, Linux or Windows, and you created your log database with a page size of less than 8 KB, we must increase the page size of the database before migrating to the WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition Version 7.0.3 or later tables.

  Agents migrated from versions of IBM MQ prior to IBM MQ Version 9.1.4 run as non highly available. We can make them run in high availability mode by carrying out the following procedure.
