Editing an existing filter
We can edit any filters that you created previously and we can also edit the filters that are supplied with IBM MQ Explorer; for example, the Default for Queues filter.
We can edit a filter that is currently applied to the table that we are viewing, or edit
another filter.
Procedure
-
[OPTION 1] Edit the current filter
- In the Content view or dialog that contains the table, click the small arrow next to the current filter name. A menu is displayed.
- From the menu, click Edit Current Filter. The Edit Filter dialog opens.
- In the Edit Filter dialog, make your changes, then click OK. For more information about the fields in the dialog, see: Create a filter.
The changes to the filter are automatically applied to any tables that are using that filter.
-
[OPTION 2] Edit a non-current filter
- In the Content view or dialog that contains the table, click the small arrow next to the current filter name. A menu is displayed.
- From the menu, click Manage Filters. The Manage Filters dialog opens displaying the filters that exist for the object type.
- In the Manager Filters dialog, click the filter that we want to edit, then click Edit. The Edit Filter dialog opens.
- In the Edit Filter dialog, add, remove, or change the criteria that are set for the filter, then click OK. For more information about the fields in the dialog, see: Create a filter.
- Click OK to close the Manage Filters dialog.
The changes to the filter are automatically applied to any tables that are using that filter.
