Editing an existing filter

We can edit any filters that you created previously and we can also edit the filters that are supplied with IBM MQ Explorer; for example, the Default for Queues filter.

We can edit a filter that is currently applied to the table that we are viewing, or edit another filter.

  1. Edit the current filter
  2. Edit a non-current filter

Procedure

  • [OPTION 1] Edit the current filter
    1. In the Content view or dialog that contains the table, click the small arrow next to the current filter name. A menu is displayed.
    2. From the menu, click Edit Current Filter. The Edit Filter dialog opens.
    3. In the Edit Filter dialog, make your changes, then click OK. For more information about the fields in the dialog, see: Create a filter.

The changes to the filter are automatically applied to any tables that are using that filter.

  • [OPTION 2] Edit a non-current filter
    1. In the Content view or dialog that contains the table, click the small arrow next to the current filter name. A menu is displayed.
    2. From the menu, click Manage Filters. The Manage Filters dialog opens displaying the filters that exist for the object type.
    3. In the Manager Filters dialog, click the filter that we want to edit, then click Edit. The Edit Filter dialog opens.
    4. In the Edit Filter dialog, add, remove, or change the criteria that are set for the filter, then click OK. For more information about the fields in the dialog, see: Create a filter.
    5. Click OK to close the Manage Filters dialog.

The changes to the filter are automatically applied to any tables that are using that filter.
