Exposing e-mail addresses
If you configured Lotus Connections to prevent e-mail addresses from being displayed, and later decide that you want to allow e-mail addresses to be exposed in the product, perform this procedure.
Only perform this procedure if you configured Lotus Connections to prevent e-mail addresses from being displayed. See Hiding e-mail addresses for more details.
To expose e-mail addresses...
- Open a command prompt, and then change to the following directory on the WebSphere Application Server hosting Lotus Connections:
- AIX or Linux
/opt/IBM/WebSphere/LotusConnections/ConfigEngine
- Microsoft Windows
C:\IBM\WebSphere\LotusConnections\ConfigEngine
- Enter the following command to run the script that configures Lotus Connections to display e-mail addresses on each WebSphere Application Server profile to which you installed a feature:
- AIX or Linux:
./ConfigEngine.sh action-expose-email -DprofileName=<profileName> -DcellName=<cellName> > /tmp/expose_email.log 2>&1
- Microsoft Windows:
ConfigEngine.bat action-expose-email -DprofileName=<profileName> -DcellName=<cellName> > D:/expose_email.log 2>&1
Provide a value for the following parameter:
- cellName
- Name of the WebSphere Application Server cell on which the features are installed.
- profileName
- Name of the WebSphere Application Server profile on which the feature is installed.
The -D is a standard flag used as a prefix for command parameters. For example, on the Microsoft Windows operating system, you would enter the following command:
ConfigEngine.bat action-expose-email -DprofileName=AppSrv01 -DcellName=enterpriseNode01Cell > D:/expose_email.log 2>&1
- You must perform some additional steps to add the e-mail address references that were removed from user profiles. Follow the steps in the topic Configuring advanced search.
- Restart the servers.
