Silent uninstallation of the Managing Server on Linux and UNIX systems

To uninstall the Managing Server:

  1. Complete the values in the response file based on the following table:

    -W LogSettingUninst.logLevel=ALL | DEBUG_MAX | DEBUG_MID | INFO | WARN | ERROR| FATAL | OFF Indicates the log level for the installation and configuration. Required
    -W LogSettingUninst.consoleOut =true | false Indicates that the uninstaller will display messages on screen during the unistallation process. Optional
    -P msFilesInstall.activeForUninstall =true | false Indicates if the Managing Server will be uninstalled. Required
    -P veInstall.activeForUninstall =true | false Indicates if the MSVE will be uninstalled. Required
    -P dbInstall.activeForUninstall =true | false Indicates if database tables should be uninstallled. Default value is true. Optional
    -V FORCE_UNINSTALL=true | false Indicates whether the installer will check connectivity to the WAS. True indicates that the installer will not check connectivity and will uninstall the Managing Server. False indicates that the uninstaller will check connectivity to the WAS and uninstallation will not proceed unless connectivity can be established. The WAS must be running if you set -V FORCE_UNINSTALL=true Optional
    -V WAS_HOSTNAME= host name Indicates the host name of the WAS, provide a fully qualified host name or the IP address of the host. Required, not used when-V FORCE_UNINSTALL =false
    -V WAS_USER= user Indicates a user account that has the administrator role required by WAS. If WebSphere is running with global security enabled, the user you specify must have the WebSphere Administrator Role. If WebSphere is running without global security enabled, the user you specify must have membership in the Administrators group on Windows or root privileges on UNIX. This user must not be a LDAP user. Required, not used when -V FORCE_UNINSTALL =false
    -V WAS_USER_PWD=1tc@m123 Indicates the password for the administrator account. Required, not used when -V FORCE_UNINSTALL =false
    -V WAS_SOAP_PORT=8881 Indicates the WAS Soap Port. Required, not used when -V FORCE_UNINSTALL =false
    -V UNINST_DB2=true | false Indicates whether the embeded installed DB2 will be uninstalled. Optional, needed if DB2 was installed during typical install mode
    -V UNINST_WAS=true | false Indicates whether the embeded WAS will be uninstalled. Optional, needed if DB2 was installed during typical install mode

  2. Type the following uninstallation command ./uninstaller.bin -silent -options response_file

    There is a response file template available at the following location: Install_image/silent/MS_uninst.opt
