IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for Application Diagnostics, Version 7.1.0.1

IBM WAS 7.0 with Global Security enabled: enabling Administrative Security, Application Security, and the Java 2 Security

This applies to Managing Servers installed on Linux on System p, Linux on System i, Solaris, and Windows.

If WebSphere Global Security is enabled for the instance of IBM WAS 7.0 that is being used by the Managing Server, it is required that Administrative Security, Application Security, and the Java 2 Security are enabled. Otherwise you will not be able to view pages in the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics Managing Server.

If Administrative Security, Application Security, and the Java 2 Security were not enabled, you would receive an HTTP 500 error message saying that access is denied. The message would be similar to the following example:

If Administrative Security, Application Security, and the Java 2 Security are not enabled:

  1. From the Integrated Solutions Console of IBM WAS 7.0, enable Administrative Security, Application Security, and the Java 2 Security.

  2. Restart the IBM WAS 7.0 being used by the Managing Server.
