Typical installation: creating the user for the product - UNIX
During the installation, you will be asked to enter the user name and password for the user for the product. This is an operating system user, used for the following tasks:
- Logging in to and using the WAS administrative console.
- Logging in to and using the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics Managing Server Visualization Engine. (While the Visualization Engine has a user management system of its own, the default user has the same user name and password as the product user).
You can choose one of the following options:
- Use the root user, which is the default.
- Create a user for the product at this time. This user must have root privileges.
