Update the messaging engine data store authentication alias
You must update the messaging engine data store authentication alias before you modify the database password.
Make sure you complete all the following items before you begin this procedure.
- For a ND environment, make sure all sending of requests is stopped. Stop all the clusters.
- For a stand-alone profile, make sure all sending of requests is stopped.
- You must start the dmgr and all node agents after stopping the ND clusters and servers and before changing the alias.
- All locations for the 98Database.xml file are listed in Update the password in the configuration file.
Procedure
To update the messaging engine data store authentication alias:
- Login to the administrative console.
- Select Service Integration > Buses.
- To update the authentication alias for each bus, complete the following steps:
- Select Buses > [Bus_NAME] > Messaging Engines > [MESSAGING_ENGINE] > Data Store .
Remember: Make sure you write down and save the Authentication Alias value in the Data Store.
- Select the Related Items section and click JAAS - J2C authentication data.
- Select the value noted in step a. Edit the password, and then click OK to save the change.
- Save the updates and click Full Synchronize to synchronize the information to all the nodes.
