Administer access to Process Portal functions
You can configure access to some of the functions provided by Process Portal, such as critical path analysis, so that only certain user groups can use them.
Many of the configuration tasks require you to edit the 100Custom.xml configuration file. Before you begin these tasks, ensure the 100Custom.xml file has been created in the directory PROFILE_HOME\config\cells\ cell_name\nodes\ node_name\servers\ server_name\process-server\config.
If not, create the file as described in The 99Local.xml and 100Custom.xml configuration files.
- Restricting access to actions on BPDs and tasks
Both the IBM BPM APIs, and users of client applications, such as Process Portal, can act on BPDs and tasks. To restrict access to particular actions, an administrator can edit the default configuration settings.- Set up user access to the critical path management tool
You can change the group that has access to the critical path management tool in Process Portal by updating the 100Custom.xml configuration file.
You can then use the Process Admin Console to add users to the group.
- Set up user access to the My Team Performance dashboard
The My Team Performance dashboard in Process Portal provides team managers with status reports for the groups that they manage. To enable team managers to access the dashboard, they must be a member of a team managers group.
