Use the Asset List view
Use the Asset List to view and generate reports for all assets contained in a snapshot
When you select a snapshot of a process application or toolkit, you can view all assets contained in that snapshot by clicking the Asset List view link located beneath the snapshot. The asset list displays all assets in the snapshot with the Process App Settings opened by default. The asset elements that are displayed are those elements that are contained in the process application or toolkit.
The Asset List view is read-only.
Each asset element is displayed with the following information:
Asset descriptor Description Asset type An icon is used to define the type of asset. Asset name The name of the asset is displayed next to the asset type icon. Asset description A description defines the asset and its associated documentation. Last changed user This defines the last user that made a change to the listed asset. Last changed date This defines the date of the last change made to the listed asset. Tags This lists all tags that are associated with the listed asset.
Change history
The Asset List view displays a change history for each asset element. Click the expander icon next to the asset element to display a change history list.
Administrative actions
You can select various administrative actions in the Asset List view Action Panel . These actions are used to compare differences between two snap shots, copy components, generate asset reports, print the current view, and save the current view for future reference.
Action Description How to ... Compare You can compare the currently selected snapshot with another snapshot in any of the tracks of the current process application. To compare two snapshots, see Comparing snapshots Copy You can select changed components from one snapshot and copy them to the tip of a track that has associated dependencies. To copy an asset from a snapshot, see Copying an asset from a snapshot Generate Report The Generate Report action produces the following reports:
- Basic process documentation for sharing with business users
- Change reports that show the differences between two snapshots
To generate a basic report, see Generate basic reports. To generate a change report, see Generate change reports. You can print the current asset view by clicking Print in the Action Panel. To print the current asset list, see Printing information about a snapshot. Search You can search an asset list by entering a search term in the search field located in the upper right-corner of the asset list tab bar. Search filters the returned asset list to include only those assets that include the search term in the asset name, or are assigned a tag that matches the search term. From the Process Center Console, you can view information about the assets of a process application snapshot or a toolkit snapshot.You can see such information as a list of processes and a list of external activities.
- Search the asset list
The list of assets contains multiple sections, and each section lists assets of a particular type. You can use the search function to quickly find the information you need in the asset list.- Viewing detailed information for asset items
In the asset list for a snapshot, you can expand an asset element and then click the name of an asset item to view its detailed information. The presentation of the detailed information differs depending on the kind of asset item that you selected.For example, if you expand the Business Process Definitions asset element and then click the name of a business process definition, a process flow diagram opens and you can view the implemented activities and hypertext links that are associated with the diagram.
