Create custom logout behavior in Process Portal spaces
You can customize the behavior of the Logout link in the banner of a space to load a custom web page, or to run custom code when a user logs out.
Ensure you have configured WebDAV so you can deploy your customized content.
By default, when a user clicks Logout the following events occur.
- If the page has unsaved changes, the user is prompted to save the changes, discard them, or cancel the logout action.
- The widgets on the page are unloaded.
- The browser is redirected to the location specified in the properties for the Mashups_ConfigService resource environment provider (by default, /mum/logout).
You can change the logout behavior in one of the following ways:
- If you must perform tasks that occur after the widgets are unloaded from the page, such as cleaning up browser cookies, use the custom web page option.
- If you must perform tasks that occur before the widgets are unloaded from the page, use the custom code option.
- Loading a custom web page in a Process Portal space at logout
If you want to run custom code at logout, for example, to clean up browser cookies, you can use the administrative console to specify a different web page to load when a user logs out.
- Running custom code in a Process Portal space at logout
If you want to run custom code after the user clicks the Logout link but before the widgets are unloaded from the page, you can add the function customLogoutFunction to the JavaScript section in the banner.html file.
