IBM Tivoli Monitoring, Version 6.3 Fix Pack 2
POOL
IBM Tivoli Monitoring processes use opaque ports (also sometimes referred to as ephemeral ports) for communication with the server.
These ports are not visible on the outside network. The range of possible opaque port numbers that are used can be controlled with the POOL option. See the following examples:
IP.PIPE POOL:50900-51923 IP.UDP POOL:01000-01023 POOL:01024-02048
Each pool modifier can specify a maximum of 1024 pool ports, but you can have more than one such specification.
