Importing a security certificate into the Workbench

Security certificates are used during the authentication process to provide secure connections when using the Agent Controller.  It is essentially a digital statement that confirms the identity of an entity (such as a person or a company). By using security certificates, you ensure that all connections using the Agent Controller will be forced to authenticate using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.

To import a security certificate into the Workbench,...

  1. From the Workbench, open the Preferences window by clicking on the Windows menu item, and then by clicking on Preferences.

  2. Enter the Alias and Certificate name, and click on Add. You may create more than one if required.
  3. Click on OK when you are finished.
