Getting fixes

A product fix might be available to resolve your problem. You can determine what fixes are available by launching a query from the IBM Support Assistant located in your Help menu:

  1. Go to the Help menu and select IBM Support Assistant.
  2. Enter your query in the search box.
  3. Select the IBM Software Support Documents checkbox.
  4. Select the specific document types radio button.
  5. Check the IBM Downloads checkbox.
  6. Select the appropriate products to the right. You must select at least one product to conduct this search.
  7. Click the Search button. This launches a search of the "live" support knowledge base on ibm.com.
  8. From the list of download documents returned by your search, click the name of a fix to read its description and to optionally download the fix.

Tip: To receive weekly e-mail notifications about fixes and other news about IBM products, follow these steps:

  1. Within the IBM Support Assistant click on the link IBM Software Support Documents to be taken to the support website.
  2. From the support site, click My support in the upper-right corner of the page.
  3. If you have already registered for "My support", skip to the next step. If you have not registered, click register in the upper-right corner of the support page to establish your user ID and password.
  4. Sign in to "My support."
  5. On the "My support" page, click Edit profiles in the left navigation pane, and scroll to Select Mail Preferences. Select a product family, and then check the appropriate boxes for the type of information you want.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. To receive e-mail notification for other products, repeat steps 4 and 5.
