Zooming and scrolling the time display in the Thread View

By default, the Thread View displays the entire time for the program run that you are investigating. You can focus the time on a specific time segment by zooming and scrolling the display.

  1. Open the Thread View by right-clicking a profiling resource entry in the Profiling Monitor, then selecting Open With > Thread View.

  2. To zoom the time display, use the mouse to move the handles on the left and right side of the Whole time time scale to change the starting time and the ending time that are displayed.

  3. To scroll the display, use the mouse to move the Whole time time scale to the right or the left. This changes both the starting time and the ending time, but the amount of time displayed remains constant.

Note: You can toggle the time display that you have set and the default display by clicking the "Switch from current time window to whole view" button

Thread View whole view button.
