Editing Web diagrams without using a mouse

You can perform all Web diagram actions without using a mouse.

To add a node to the free-form surface:

  1. Tab to the palette.

  2. Using the arrow keys, put focus on the new object tool (for example, new action mapping).

  3. Press Shift+F10 to show the pop-up menu, and select Copy.

  4. Press Tab or Shift+Tab to give the free-form surface focus.

  5. Press Shift+F10 to show the pop-up menu, and select Paste. The new object will be dropped onto the free-form surface.

  6. Use the arrow keys to select the new object.

  7. Press the . key to select the relocate handle for the object. Then use the arrow keys to move the new object to the desired place on the free-form surface.

  8. Press Enter to relocate the new object.

To connect two nodes on the free-form surface:

  1. Tab to the palette.

  2. Using the arrow keys, put focus on the connection tool.

  3. Press the space bar to select the connection tool.

  4. Press Tab or Shift+Tab to give the free-form surface focus.

  5. Using the arrow keys to move around the objects on the free-form surface, select the source of the connection and press Enter.

  6. Using the arrow keys again, move around the objects on the free-form surface and select the target of the connection.

  7. Press again, and the connection will be drawn.
