Creating Web diagrams for new applications

You can create an empty Web diagram for a Web application that you plan to create.

Before you create a Web diagram, a dynamic Web project must exist.

To create a Web diagram, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Project Navigator, select the name of a project.

  2. Right-click and select the following menu path New > Other > Web > Struts > Web Diagram.

  3. Click Next. The "Create a Web diagram" page appears with a default parent folder name provided.

  4. If you want to specify a different parent folder, type the name or select it from the choices in the box beneath the Enter or select the parent folder field.

  5. In the File name field, type the name of the Web diagram file that is to be created.

  6. If you want to associate the Web diagram with a module other than the default Struts module, select a module from the Module drop-down menu.

  7. If you want to associate the Web diagram with a file in the file system, click Advanced, check the Link to file in the file system box, click Browse, and select a file.

  8. Click Finish.

  9. For more details about the underlying New File wizard, see New File wizard.
