Window | Open Perspective | Other | Data

The Data perspective contains the following views:

• Data Definition view
• Database Explorer view
• DB Output view

The relational database tools provides a metadata model that is used by all other tools that need database information. This model includes connection information so that tools can share connections.

Note that...

• Data source objects are not supported in the Data perspective.
• The relational database tools do not support check options on views.

 

Default DB Vendor

To set the default vendor type, click...

Window | Preferences | Data

...from the list of preferences categories on the left side of the Preferences window. Choose the database vendor that you want to be the default database vendor from the list of vendors.
