Resetting portlets on remote servers

Some temporary resources and the configuration on the portal server are automatically generated during testing or debugging of a portlet on a remote server. You can delete them by performing the Reset Portlets action. Follow the steps below.

  1. In the Servers view, right-click the WebSphere Portal Server Attach server.

  2. Select Reset Portlets .

    1. The following actions occur:

      • All portlet applications being tested by the current user are uninstalled from the portal server.

      • The preview page of the current user is deleted from the portal server. If there are multiple users testing portlets, they will each have their own preview page.

      • The WAR files exported from all portlet projects previewed by the current user are deleted from the remote server system.

    2. If desired, manually delete the preview label using the Portal Administration page on the remote portal server.
