Resetting portlets on remote servers
Some temporary resources and the configuration on the portal server are automatically generated during testing or debugging of a portlet on a remote server. You can delete them by performing the Reset Portlets action. Follow the steps below.
- In the Servers view, right-click the WebSphere Portal Server Attach server.
- Select Reset Portlets .
- The following actions occur:
- All portlet applications being tested by the current user are uninstalled from the portal server.
- The preview page of the current user is deleted from the portal server. If there are multiple users testing portlets, they will each have their own preview page.
- The WAR files exported from all portlet projects previewed by the current user are deleted from the remote server system.
- If desired, manually delete the preview label using the Portal Administration page on the remote portal server.
