Configuring the WebSphere Portal 5.1 Test Environment

After installing the WebSphere Portal 5.1 Test Environment as described in the Installation Guide, configure Rational Developer to use the test environment.

Follow these configuration steps:

1. Select Window > Preferences from the menu bar.

2. Expand the Server section, and click Installed Runtimes.

3. Click WebSphere Portal v5.1 stub, select the check box, and click Edit.

4. Overwrite the WebSphere Portal Location and WebSphere Application Server Location values with the WebSphere Portal 5.1 Test Environment installation directories that you specified when you installed the test environment.

5. Click Finish.

6. Click OK in the Preferences dialog.

Now you can create a server configuration for testing, debugging or profiling portlet projects.
