Editing Click-to-Action encodeProperties

To update the output properties (encodeProperties) object inserted to a JSP file,...

1. Open a JSP file in the Page Designer Design page.

2. Select the Properties tab in the set of views at the bottom of the workspace. The Properties view is one of the default views provided with the Web perspective.

3. Click the output properties icon (

   ) in the Design page. The C2A:encodeProperties page will be displayed in the Properties view.

4. Provide values in the available property pages. The properties below must be specified.

   Menu label (Required)

   Specify a short string about the action suitable for displaying in the portlet user interface. For translated captions, specify the name of the key in the resource bundles using a dot (.) rather than a space between words in this field. Specify the translated captions in the key=translated caption format in the resource bundles that are defined by the c2a-nls-file configuration parameter for this concrete portlet in the portlet deployment descriptor. You will find the resource bundles under the JavaSource node.

   Properties (Required)

   Select the output property entries to enclose. Click the Add button to open the Select Output Property dialog, where the available output property entries are listed. The selected Output Property (encodeProperty) entries are copied into the new Output Properties(encodeProperties) entry. To remove an output property (encodeProperty) from the output properties (encodeProperties) entry, select the property and click the Remove button.

   To change attributes of the enclosed output property (encodeProperty), select the output property and click the Edit button to open the Edit Output Property dialog. If you change the Data type and Namespace, also update them in the applicable WSDL file.
