Saving frames and animations
You can save individual image frames or entire animations.
To save individual image frames:
- Select one or more image frames that you want to save.
- Select File > Save Frame.
- Type a file name and click Save. The Save Image As dialog reappears for each selected frame. When you save multiple image frames consecutively, you can automatically include consecutive numbers in their names by including a number in the file name for the first image. For example, if you name the first image FILE001, the subsequent images are automatically assigned the names FILE002, FILE003, and so on.
To save an animation, select File > Save As.
Note: The following information will not be saved and will therefore not be recovered the next time you open the file:
- The part of an image that extends beyond the edges of the screen.
- The name of an image frame (the name of a file that has been inserted). When the file is reopened, all the frames are named "Image."
- The exact number of colors in a palette. The number of colors in a palette is fixed to 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, or 256. If you save a palette with any other number of colors, the number will be automatically incremented to the next larger of these values. For example, a palette defined with 70 colors would be incremented to 128 colors; a palette with 230 colors would be incremented to 256 colors.
- The status of the Auto size option for the attribute frame.
