Post-migration activities

After migrating to IBM WebSphere Portal v8.5, we might need to complete extra tasks depending on how you customized the source portal environment and which components we used. Complete the post-migration tasks before enabling new functionality in the portal.

• Administrative tasks
  Complete administrative tasks, such as enabling automatic synchronization, migrating web server configurations, configuring a federated LDAP user registry, and more, to ensure the new environment functions properly.

• Portal tasks
  Complete the post-migration tasks specific to the way that we use WebSphere Portal.

• Development tasks
  Complete the development tasks required after the migration of data to ensure the environment functions properly.

• Database tasks
  There are different post-migration tasks required depending on the type of database used.

• Add-ons, features, and third-party integration tasks
  Complete the post-migration tasks required based on the way we use the WebSphere Portal environment.
