IBM i stand-alone: Prepare DB2 for IBM i

To setup a remote IBM DB2 for i database, create user IDs and databases on a remote server. Tasks are provided to assist with creating the user IDs and the databases. Before we can use the tasks, modify properties files.

Prerequisites

Prepare the IBM i operating system in a stand-alone environment

Install WebSphere Portal on IBM i

1. Modify properties
   
2. Create groups and assign users
   
3. Create user profiles
   
4. Create databases
   
5. Grant privileges for database users
   
6. Configure the portal to use DB2
   
7. Verify
