Linux cluster: Tune the servers
WebSphere Portal is not tuned for a production environment out of the box. To ensure optimal performance, review and complete the steps in the Portal Tuning Guide. If a tuning guide is not available for the current release, the tuning guide for the previous product version should be used.
- Prerequisites
- Prepare the Linux operating system in a clustered environment
- Prepare the primary node on Linux
- Create and augment a new dmgr profile on Linux
The tuning guide will help you to:
- Configure the application server and the resources defined for that application server
- Determine the cloning strategy for expanding or extending the environment
- Tune the database
- Tune the directory server and its database
- Tune the Web server
- Tune the operating system and network
- Tune the WebSphere Portal services
