Configure search in a cluster on Linux
IBM WebSphere Portal provides two distinct search capabilities. We can use both types of search capabilities in a clustered environment.

To support Portal Search in a clustered environment, install and configure search for remote search service on an IBM WAS node that is not part of the IBM WebSphere Portal cluster.- Configure JCR search in a cluster on Linux
To enable search in a cluster for content stored in the JCR database, configure each server in the cluster to access a shared directory. JCR-based content includes content created with Web Content Manager or Personalization.
