Edit the application component

We can edit the web application component if changes are required.

For example, we might have to change the context root or the host name. You might also want to change the settings associated with the component.

To edit the application component:

1. Log on to IBM WebSphere Portal using the fully qualified host name.

2. Go to Administration > Portlet Management > Virtual Web Application Manager.

3. Select the check box of the application component to edit.

4. Click Settings to edit the application component.

5. Make all required changes; for example, change the description, host name, display name, or context root.

6. Click Save.

7. Refresh the page where the WebDock portlet residethat references the edited web application to display your changes.
