Hide content
You can hide portlets and widgets on a page so they are present but not visible in the page layout.
Why Hide Content?
Sometimes you might want a portlet or widget on the page, but it does not have a user interface. In that case, it should be hidden. An example is if you have a data processing widget and a data viewer widget wired together. The data viewer widget would be visible and the data processing widget would stay hidden.
In the Page Builder theme, content is hidden by putting it into a special container in the layout that is hidden with CSS. All of the out of box layout templates have this hidden container.
- View hidden content
- Go to Actions -> Edit Page
- Click the Hidden Content button
- How to hide content
There are two ways to hide a piece of content:
Use the Control menu
- Go to Actions -> Edit Page
- Click the drop down menu icon in the upper right corner of the portlet or widget
- Click Hide
- Save the page
Use drag and drop
- Go to Actions -> Edit Page
- Click the Hidden Content button
- Drag the portlet or widget into the hidden container that appeared in step 2b
- Save the page
- How to un-hide content
There are two ways to display a piece of content:

- Click the Hidden Content button
- Click the drop down menu icon in the upper right corner of the hidden portlet or widget
- Click Move Down
- Save the page
Use drag and drop
- Go to Actions -> Edit Page
- Click the Hidden Content button
- Drag the portlet or widget out of the hidden container
- Save the page

According to the author, this only applies to 7 because 6.1.5 does not have the Actions -> HIdden Content feature.

Is this WP7 only or will this work in WP 6.1.5 as well?
