Change page style

Change the appearance of a page by selecting a style from the list of predefined themes. When you select a theme, it is previewed on the page. You can add custom styles to the list of page themes that are available for selection.

To change the appearance of a page, proceed as follows:

  1. Click the Customize button on the toolbar to open the content catalog.

  2. Navigate to the Change Style tab.

  3. Select a category from the menu on the side.

  4. Filter down the results displayed by typing space separated search terms into the input box near the upper corner.

  5. Page through the content by using the Previous and Next links or the Jump to page ___ input underneath the search results.

  6. To preview a style, click that style.

  7. To commit a style change to the server, click the Save button.

  8. Close the shelf by clicking the Customize button or by clicking the Edit mode toggle button to return to View mode.

The default style available in the default portal installation resets the page to have no custom style sheet applied. Therefore a page that has the default style applied simply inherits the styles applied to its ancestor pages.
