Create or augment profiles on AIX
We can create new profiles or augment an existing Deployment Manager profile. We can use the Profile Management Tool (PMT), if supported on OS, to enter all required parameters on a Graphical User Interface (GUI), which is a preferred method for beginners because it uses automatically created default values.
You can also use the manageProfiles command to enter all required parameters on a command line. This method allows you to automate the process.

- Create a Portal application server profile
- Create a Portal custom profile
- Augment a Deployment Manager profile
After running the enable-profiles task, you can augment existing Deployment Manager profiles based on the existing template.
