WAS tracing and log files
Use WAS log files and tracing to troubleshoot problems with WebSphere Portal.
WAS has log files and a tracing function; however, IBM recommends using the wpinstalllog.txt file to determine whether WAS was successfully configured for WebSphere Portal and whether WebSphere Portal was successfully started on WAS.
Both log files are described in WebSphere Portal logs.
