If you can't find it there, engine.properties might be found in...

For multilingual sites, the file can have a language suffix corresponding to the locale, for example, engine_es.properties for Spanish. If WebSphere Portal cannot determine the client locale, the banner text is defined in engine.properties.

Pages that use the page builder theme use the banner text from the engine.properties file and then append the page name from the banner text.

For example, if the page name is My Page and the banner text is WebSphere Portal, the banner displays:

To change the banner text for each language that is supported by the portal site.

  1. Edit engine.properties and change the title parameter to the name that you want to be displayed in the portal banner.

  2. Save and close engine.properties.

  3. Restart the appserver for WebSphere Portal.
