Using my own HTML page to display/edit results
The Siebel View and Form builder allows you to specify custom HTML pages for the Query, Search Results, Detail, Create and Edit pages. Each Page Option Group has a Page URL input that allows you to enter the name of a custom HTML page to use in place of the default page. In addition, the builder provides the ability to generate sample HTML pages for each page you ask the builder to create at regen time. Pressing the appropriate buttons displayed under the Sample/Custom HTML group will generate these sample pages on the next model regen.
The sample pages are derived from the XSD Schema elements that correspond to the fields selected to be displayed on a page. For example, if you create a Detail Page and select the detail fields you want to see, then generate HTML for that page, the sample HTML file will contain entries that correspond to the XSD Schema elements for the Business Component Detail variable.
Note: If your builder is using custom HTML pages and you change the Business Component accessed by the builder, you will need to generate new custom HTML pages so that they match the data content of the new Business Component.
