Use the rich text editor

The Web content rich text editor is used in the rich text element.

Text styles:

Options include "Normal" and a variety of heading styles.

CSS Styles

When creating Authoring Templates, you can link your rich text element with one or more cascading style sheets (CSS). The classes of these CSS files are displayed as formatting styles in a drop-down list. The user can select any one of these and apply to the selected text.

Font:

Used to select the font of the text. Options include Arial, Bookman, Courier, Garamond, Lucida Console, Symbol, Tahoma, Times, Trebuchet, and Verdana. The box next to font selection contains font size options. Options include 7 pt, 9 pt, 12 pt, 14 pt, 18 pt, and 24 pt.

Text formatting:

You can apply bold, italics, underlining, subscripts, superscripts, and strikethrough to the selected text.

Paragraph formatting:

You can select a paragraph to be aligned to the left, right or center as well as indent a paragraph.

Lists:

You can create numbered and bulleted lists.

Tables:

Tables can be added to your text including the ability to insert and delete rows and columns.With tables, you can:

  1. Specify several cell attributes, such as height, width, spacing, padding text alignment, and cell border.

  2. Optionally, specify row headers, column headers, or both row headers and column headers for your table.

  3. Set the background and border colors for your table.

  4. Choose any of the following two table templates for your table:

    • Alternating Rows: Alternate rows have the same background color

    • Alternating Columns: Alternate columns have the same background color

Colors:

You can apply text font color, text background color, table background color, and table border color using the color palette in the rich text editor. You can also create custom colors from the color palette by altering the RGB (Red Green Blue) values.

Spellcheck and find and replace:

The rich text editor can be used to spell check your text. You can also find and replace text using the rich text editor.
