Set up a remote spell checker

Set up spell checker to run on a remote application server. Running spell checker locally is supported on the following platforms:

Platform	Versions
Windows (32–bit)	Windows NT 4.0 (and above), Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, and Windows XP
IBM AIX (32 with i5/OS)	5.1 - 5.3
Red Hat Linux (x86)	Advanced Server 2.1, 3.0 and 4.0
SuSE Linux (x86)	8.x - 9.x and Enterprise Server 9.0
Sun Solaris (x86)	8.x - 10.x

Running spell checker locally on the following systems is not supported:

• HP-UX

• Linux for System p^®

• Linux for System z^®

Also, you cannot run spell checker locally on 64–bit systems. Instead, configure spell checker on a remote application server and access that server from the local IBM WebSphere Portal server.
