Use an authoring tools element
When creating an authoring tool element, you will need to define the layout of the authoring tool and any required actions, and select parameters for each action layout as required.
- Enter HTML, text and tags in each action layout you want to display in an authoring tool component.
- Select parameters for each action layout as required.
- When creating a "new" action, you can either select an authoring template and site area to use with the new content item, use the same authoring template and site area as the current content item, or allow users to select an authoring template and site area. You can also choose to use the authoring templates defined in a rendering portlet configuration.
- When editing a content item you select either to create a new draft item, or allow users to edit the rendered content.
- Enter HTML, text and tags in the header, separator layouts and
footer layouts. The code entered in the header designs and the footer designs will appear before and after the displayed actions. The code entered into the separator will appear between each displayed action.
