Configuring the JDBC provider
This section describes how to configure the JDBC provider for the selected database type. The following procedure demonstrates how to configure the JDBC Provider for Derby:
| Select Resources Æ JDBC Æ JDBC providers. |
|
| Select the server scope: Node=<hostname>Node<xx>, Server=server1 |
|
| Click New. |
|
| In the Create new JDBC provider page, do these steps: |
For Database type, select Derby.
|
|
For JDBC Provider, select Derby JDBC Provider.
|
|
For Implementation type, select XA data source.
|
|
Accept the default name of Derby JDBC Provider (XA).
|
|
Click Next.

| For Derby, Step 2 is skipped (the class path is set correctly), and in Step 3: Summary page, click Finish. |

| Click Save to the master configuration. |
